The site of America’s 355th mass shooting this year, which so far has left 14 dead and more than a dozen injured, is a state-funded nonprofit that describes itself on Facebook as an institution that works to “normalize the lives of people with developmental disabilities and their families by working to include them in the everyday routines and life rhythms of the community.”
